Kit Siang: Cabinet decision on RCI into TBH's death falls far short of public expectation, unsatisfactory & unacceptable

I am disappointed by the Cabinet decision on the mysterious death of Teoh Beng Hock.

There will be no Royal Commission of Inquiry into the causes of Teoh’s death although an inquest would be held.

A Royal Commission of Inquiry will be set up, but only to look into the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's (MACC) investigative procedures and to determine if there were any human right violations when Teoh Beng Hock was being interrogated.

This falls short of public expectations and is unsatisfactory and unacceptable.

What the Malaysian public want is a Royal Commission of Inquiry into the mysterious causes of Teoh’s death at 14th floor of MACC Hqrs, the investigating procedures of MACC as well as into the independence, professionalism and integrity of the MACC whether it has become the catspaw of its political masters to declare war on the Pakatan Rakyat instead of declaring war on corruption.

MCA, Gerakan, MIC and SUPP Ministers have led the Teoh family and the public “up the garden path” into believing that they support a Royal Commission of Inquiry into Teoh’s death.

Did they press for a RCI into the causes of Teoh’s death and were outvoted by the rest of the Cabinet or had they agreed all along to only have a RCI into the investigative techniques of MACC but not into Teoh’s death.

Let MCA President and Transport Minister Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat, Gerakan President Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon and all the other Ministers concerned speak up!

Danny, I'm just as speechless. This country's govt can do anything they like, can murder anyone. No wonder it will never progress. Yes, let's leave this worthless country. Really getting out of control

Ng. Thanks for sharing the same feelings as I did. Yes. the country's govt can do anything they like. Like the chinese saying "one hand could cover the whole sky".

Example was one of the video posted here whereby the scene was taken outside the MACC, the Mr. Policeman have the guts to just say "tangkap!! tangkap".. its live on video, on the internet, (but not on the national news). He was acting like, "WHAT!! I am the law!! I say tangkap, means tangkap. So what if I am being recorded. I know my govt, my country won't let me get into trouble for this things I have done. I am protected" GOD!!!

No words can express my feeling now. Especially toward our bro TBH whom could turn out to be a great leader in the future. To the family of our bro, please hang in there! I believe very much with "an eye for an eye". the people that have done this to his family and friends, will get their return in such a way 10X worst. Be it for them, or from their future generation coming. The god above us sees and know things.

Our great grand parents came to this land for a living, hoping a great future for us. I can see no further than tomorrow. I can't choose my birth place, but "definitely" I could choose the place I would rather RIP. (period)

Well honestly I am not sure if even the Royal Commission is set up to investigate the causes of death, we will be told the truth. In the end, it will just be another sandiwara - they are seen to do something. They are just buying time, when the news died down a bit, they will hope to sweep this under the carpet. Or the finding from the inquiry will be a foregone conclusion...........
